Deja vu exposed in Cor Blimey Arts
Posted by christopher reinhardt on 19.01.08
10 artists coming from very different backgrounds, different countries, different generations One title: “l'exposition du Deja vu”
Every month the artists met to exchange ideas, exploring associations, theories related to the theme, experimenting with brainstorming techniques, as well as the sharing of creative practices. Our interest lays in exposing deja vu, the thought processes involved, and how we respond emotionally to it.
Indeed, the group show delves into our collective perceptions of what is familiar and the experience created by deja vu. Small toys, balloons, a room, a kiss, a bungalow… offer dreamlike experiences of reality. The exhibition is curated to inspire stories and places. The works are arranged to awaken particular dynamics.
How the imagination deals with them is the trick, and who knows, will create your own sense of deja vu.
