Newspaper igloos

London igloos (pictured) have been designed specifically for Designersblock and the London Design Festival by Matthew Plummer Fernandez to address the issues of designing in London. Rather than resorting to the unsustainable luxury of solutions to production across the globe, the product is limited to material sources and manufacturing within London. The final product is therefore quintessentially local in origin and as the city is known for its abundance of discarded newspapers from which the structures are made from. The igloos will be placed at several key spaces around London throughout the Festival.
